Relatively speaking, this is the newest hardware with best feature sets for most use cases even including some gaming, at a great price. Wondering why no comments?

Pros:
  • Great processor ultra 7 with an integrated GPU inching towards entry-level dedicated laptop GPU such as 3050
  • Huge, I mean really Huge 90Whr battery for almost 16hr of time! If you are a student, or have a job that requires you to move around the whole day, that's going to cover the whole day.
  • Large screen 2-n-1 for watching videos and taking notes (pen not included. I've taught with 15.4" tablets for 4 years lots of derivations on screen and this size is more than enough for students)
  • Extra 10% screen height makes side-by-side tabbing and coding easier.
  • Backlit keyboard
  • No number pad (keys line up with screen and touchpad)

Cons:
  • Large 16 inch and a bit heavy at 4.8lb +
  • 2-n-1 means reflective glass screen so it could be a bit annoying against backlight or overhead light conditions
  • No number pad (anyone who works on numbers will be sad)
  • Based on my personal experience with Dell inspirons and stock photo of the product, it looks inspiron-kind-of-cheap. Don't scratch its shell in the bag!

I think the coupon for 10% is hard to replicate. I've tried 3 different emails addresses and haven't received a code.

Looks good! I had and additional $100 off through my AMEX. I couldn't get the 10% off but did get 5% off as an educator discount. Also CB site is offering 12% back. Will end up being around $540 for me. Also got $40 in dell rewards I might be able to use on the future.

I was also about to post about the AMEX statement credit and 12% CB site. I didn't get the codes from OP, but I was able to get a 10% student discount.

If you can get the 10% + $100 AMEX offer + 12% CB, this is a better deal. Otherwise, I think the yoga is slightly better.

That 4.8lbs is approaching gaming laptop heaviness, no thank you.

This would be perfect for me except I really need a numpad for work. I guess I could buy a plugin, but the extra space on the desktop and use of a USB is annoying. Also, don't love soldered RAM with 16GB. I really want 32GB, or at least the capability to upgrade.
