Both are fantastic unless you hate the Arkham style combat approach.

And what's an "Akrham style" combat approach?

These games are fun / addicting. Just watch videos on how to play them. Worth it if you know any LOTR.

Like Arkham Asylum/City/Knight from Rockstar Games.
Flow-based fighting against groups of enemies where you need to bounce from foe to foe with a mix of attack, parry, vault, stun, and special moves/gadgets. You can generally survive with mashing buttons, but stringing things together is highly satisfying.

I enjoyed both of these very much.

One of those games that I'm stunned by how in depth it is. The Nemesis system is unparalleled even today. The fact that enemies remember you and what you did to them (burn them, cut off an arm, or even if they did it to YOU) they will actually reference it (fully voiced) if you run into them again just blows my mind. I had way too much fun with this for the few dollars I spent on it.

idk if we can share links where but here's a bit of an appreciation/discussion about it

Sounds a lot like playing the God of War series?

It's interesting but it's actually unrivaled because they put a patent on that feature.

They're great stealth games. Well worth the current price. Ignore the LOTR label since it doesn't really follow the books. It's better to pretend that it's an original IP instead.

Sadly the nemesis system is unparalleled because WB filed a patent on it to scare off "copycats"

One of the best games I played I wish they would use the combat system again.
