I bought this exact computer last week, it's a beast. This is the motherboard: https://www.asus.com/motherboards...-a-ax6-ii/

My 4070 Super is an msi (I realize that can vary)
Memory is T Force Delta 16GBx2 5200
I found a discussion of this pc on reddit. Here is what they said about the loudness.

"I have one, and the fan loudness is fixable. For some reason the BIOS setting has the case fans going at max speed all the time, so I just went in to the settings and set up a curve. Once I did that it's much quieter now."
That's the neat part. You can upgrade the wifi chip yourself with a desktop. Also, no one uses wifi on a gaming machine.

why is a wifi 6 bad?
It's not. Most people hardwire their desktop with Ethernet. The comment I replied to said it was a deal breaker for them. WiFi 7 is out but not a lot of hardware can take advantage currently.

Mine got delivered yesterday but since it's a present for my son won't get setup till Xmas.

I'm curious on the fan settings. If you do go for lower settings do you run the risk of overheating and if so how do you manage that?
I was curious about this as well. I did not really lower the fan settings for the highest temperature because I was worried about this. I figure if the lower temperature fan speeds are not high enough, it will kick us up into the highest temperature range anyway and then the fan will run fast and be fine?

Just edited a few GoPro videos today. This thing is a beast! Handles 4K 60 FPS content like it's nothing.

Anyone with the Asrock B760m-c able to update the bios? I got the bios update file from their website, formatted the flash drive to fat32 (16 kilobytes), renamed the file, but the instant flash won't detect anything in bios.

I guess you have the wrong bios file; double-check the board version or reach out to customer support.

Can someone in the know please chime in with what the old and new bios details are so those who receive their systems in the days to come can check and see if they need to update or good to go?

I think everyone will in all likelihood need the new BIOS update (at least those of us with the ASRock motherboard). The most recent BIOS update is version 9.02 and it released on 10/01/24.

I can say that like many others have said, the fans are LOUD. It was like sitting beside of a mini-compressor or floor fan. As soon as I went into BIOS and changed the settings on all 4 fans to PWM they immediately turned down to almost a whisper before I even saved the settings. Now I just need to move all of my files from my old PC to the new one and I'm set! Looking forward to gaming on this one.

I have this one. Use this link to download the most current version 9.2

https://www.asrock.com.tw/mb/Inte...s.asp#BIOS

Instant Flash immediately detected it for me.

You renamed the file? I just unzipped it into the drive and restarted into BIOS. It worked without a hitch.

That's the exact link I had, but since you gave me the confirmation I decided to use a 3rd usb drive and this one worked! Thank you!

That's great to hear! Were you also able to adjust your fan speed or had you already done that? Can't believe what a difference it made to change the settings on all 4 fans to PWM.

I picked up the pc on Friday morning, added my 980 Pro and a few ssds and as soon as I turned it on I thought I have a Mig 19 in my room 😅 The first thing I did was to change the fans settings to PWM and I couldn't believe how big of a difference that change made.
Thank you again!

Where in settings is the option to change to pwm? I just got my pc and setting it up. I also have the asrock motherboard so will work on updating the bios

LOL @ the MiG in your room. Glad to hear that you quieted those fans down. Now you have me debating an extra SSD for games or miscellaneous items.

On day 3 of use I got a sudden blue screen (too quick to read) and then I could no longer get a display on my monitor. Monitor works fine on 2 other PCs, tried a different monitor also just in case. Reseated RAM, GPU, reset CMOS, unplugged and reconnected all cables, fully drained power, tried all output ports on video card - multiple times over 3 hours. No integrated graphics makes it hard to troubleshoot if this is specifically a GPU issue.

No display output or sounds at all, only fans and case lights coming on. Now onto the warranty/exchange game with Costco and IBP.

Edit/Update: 4 hours troubleshooting on my own (career IT guy) and no progress. Worked with a patient and helpful IBUYPOWER support rep for over an hour but was unable to resolve remotely. Costco customer service got me all set though. All in all happy with the support all around, hopefully no further issues.

I am concerned about the cpu. I am getting 1.533v max vcor even after bios is updated with intel 12b mc. I am suspecting intel degradation issues right of the bat

Can this system take a 4090 if you wanted to upgrade at some point ?
Yes, way late, but I just got around to opening one of mine today. Pulled the MSI 4070 and through in my Asus TUF 4090 before I even turned it on. I swapped with my 1000w G3 PS too.
