According to PC Mag, they don't recommend Wyze.

"Editors' Note: We are no longer reviewing or recommending Wyze security products at this time. This decision follows a series of Wyze security failures, including privacy breaches in February 2024 and September 2023 that exposed users' camera feeds, and a significant vulnerability detailed by Bitdefender researchers in March 2022 that Wyze failed to disclose for three years. For trusted alternatives in this category, check out our roundup of the best smart floodlight cameras. Our original Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro review is below, but we have removed our 4-star Editors' Choice rating."

I've been a Wyze user for 7 years, and have been migrating to Eufy for a year now. Wyze is a mess and I don't trust them anymore after security leaks and lack of transparency.

That said, I still utilize both brands on a regular basis and using redundancy in case one has some sort of outage preventing me from getting video feeds.

I paid $150 for a single Floodcam Pro and stopped paying the monthly subscription so it's only really good for 24/7 recording and live view. The 180 degree view is amazing and Eufy's equivalent models have what they claim 360 degree viewing angle, but that's code for a mechanical tracking camera. It's really got a 135 degree viewing angle lens. But I'm not sold on the tracking technology as it's got its own share of problems.

I recommend this device if you are already or planning to go all in on the Wyze ecosystem with subscription model. It's an amazing price for an amazing piece of hardware.

Sorry for blabbing. I'm full from Thanksgiving food and alcohol, and ready to sleep lol.

This is a really good light with camera, clear video and dual band when most are 2.4. I have 2 of them, looking for a good deal on one more at the moment, but don't know what I would do with 2. This price is basically 50% off each. I paid under $100 a piece for the ones I have, bought on a sale price. Lowest I can find one for right now is $119, both on 'Zon and Wyze site.

How do these compare with Eufy? All my cameras are currently in their ecosystem.

Eufy cams are great but the 2 way audio sucks

I am thinking of switching to something other than Wyze. Their push for Subscription is so much that they came up with Cool Down BS to make this Cameras equivalent of counter-security.

Video quality/dollar is better for live view but unless you subscribe, without their some of the semi reliable useful features, these cameras don't deserve the place in home security.

Their home-monitoring base is another pain in neck. My Wyze base continue malfunctioning and I must reconnect every sensor, every few months.

So for basic door sensor, motion sensors I may just go back to Ring. Any other recommendations?

Thankfully it came free with my home insurance when I switched.

Debating this vs eufy S330 which is also 3000 lumens. Looking to put up 5 devices total in the driveway, back yard and side of house where we need flood lights in case we have company over, and also have a decent camera to look if we hear anything or get paranoid. Had the Feit cameras Costco sold a few yrs ago which worked fine for my use, lots of light but fixed camera with decent quality and playback on microsd, and paid only ~$60 for them. Sounds like some wyze features are behind a subscription pay wall, but eufy is not. Would appreciate any feedback.

I got in in the Blink deal from Costco last year. Those wireless cameras and the wired floodlight camera are decent in operation. I don't think they are the best by any means but it's a good cheap way to monitor, alert yourself and serve as a deterrent overall. Also, with the wireless cameras one can place them anywhere and they can provide redundancy by having 2 to monitor the same area, as they are cheap to buy.
