Surely the 1-year warranty will not work in the USA for this Canada model I got…. I think I'll roll the dice and open it up - here's to hoping for no issues!

The model for the Canadian model is: HW-Q990D/ZC
They are the exact same hardware - but after looking into my above post a bit more, Samsung will not cover the unit under warranty in the USA if it's the Canadian model. That said - it seems that with most of the deep discounted q990d deals you have a good chance of getting a Canadian model.
I did take screenshots of the EBay listing where I bought mine from Focus Camera explicitly stating they are selling the HW-Q990D/ZA (USA model) - just as a backup plan in case I run into any problems I can at least go back to them and claim they sold it under false advertising and at least have a leg to stand on in a chargeback situation if the company wouldn't help me with any problems or a resolution within the first year. Not that I want to have to deal with that kind of crap, but at least it's something.
I'm hopeful there won't be any issues initially or within the first year to where it would cause me a problem.
