Healthwise, you're better off having a nice big glass of high-protein, lower-sugar Fairlife milk. Probably tastes better than this Carnation stuff, too.

This carnation drink: 10g protein, 11g sugar, probably grossly sweet
Serving of Fairlife 2% milk: 13g protein, 6g sugar, naturally lightly sweet

What purpose does canola oil serve as one of the main ingredients? Kinda crazy.

Don't forget the 3 teaspoons of sugar in every serving.

Wild guess: canola oil serves as a healthy substitute for a chemical additive?

Why would you need chemicals or oil in chocolate milk? Canola oil is chemically derived btw. Not a great alternative if that's your theory.

Maybe to avoid a watery consistency and add some richness? I would think one of these would be more healthy than a breakfast sandwich from McDonald's tho

Are you under the impression that food shouldn't be made of atoms?

No, you don't need chemicals or oil in chocolate milk. But this isn't chocolate milk. This is chocolate milk flavored "breakfast drink".

Wow. Perfect example of a better option. Also likely cheaper per oz. I really enjoy fair life milk. Thanks for the breakdown.

An English muffin topped with an egg a single price of cheese and a slice of ham? Not really the doom food you're implying....

Honestly these taste so good to me imo. I know there's healthier alternatives. but I consider this like a morning or late breakfast treat. haven't found any that have the same taste.

People trying to be clever and snarky, and ironically, end up looking foolish.. Canola oil is added because.. wait for it.. WAIT FOR IT.. for absorption of fat(only) soluble vitamins and minerals!
