Bought the DLHC5502V last month when my dryer control board died, wish I could have waited, but needed a dryer. So far no issues with it, it does build up a fine dust on the condenser fins that makes it past the first two filters and isn't removed by the condenser care mode that sprays water on the fins. Hopefully the build up doesn't get too bad, it's not big chunks of lint like the other combo heat pump units get but it's not as clean as a lot of the reviews have you believe. There is definitely more work cleaning the lint trap than other dryers as it's a more complex trap.

Uses about half the electricity as my old dryer, I have cheap power so the break even point over a cheap electric one is like 7 years out.

I thought it was going to make my laundry room cold since I thought it would suck the heat out of the room but it's the opposite, it makes it hotter than my older dryer because it doesn't vent the hot air outside, it just builds up in the room.

Dry times are longer but it's not too bad unless it's towels or bedding, usually only about 20 min longer than my old dryer but towels and bedding is like 1.5 hours longer.

Would I get it again? I would if I lived somewhere with expensive power, where I am now, probably not.

Delivery from LG was ok, they didn't do anything terrible but they tried to just leave it in my driveway and I had to convince them that I paid to have them bring it into the room.
Go add the dryer from the post to your cart, the default free shipping option is literally called "in-home delivery" right on the order page, there is no option for driveway delivery, the other option is installation. Here's a pic if you don't believe me, also notice it says placed in room of your choice: https://i.imgur.com/y4dXmC8.jpeg

This is LGs definition of in home delivery from their website:

Major Appliances can be shipped via In-Home Delivery option, which includes delivery only. The carrier will arrive within a time window of your choosing and place the item in the preferred room of your home or office. Fees apply. See here: https://members.us.lg.com/store/p...e=delivery

So there is no mistake that they are supposed to bring it inside, I would challenge you to read the details of what a company offers instead of saying that it probably doesn't say that.

Gotta say.. this is what makes slickdeals great, posts like this where people are able to add cherries on top. Got a washer/dryer set (non-heat pump) and three filters for ~$1490. Unfortunately didn't get the 10% or 12% promo codes people mentioned (no sales chat option at the hour I was buying) but still a good deal! Thanks y'all!

I used online chat, there was a button on every page iirc. Maybe it's also limited hours/days?
Thanks for the help. Got it purchased yesterday afternoon. A chat agent texted my phone saying we hadn't finished our conversation. Oddly, every agent I talked to just directed me somewhere else. But I responded and was eventually given a 12% promo code. 1688 out the door and delivered for a DLGX6501B and a WM6500HBA. AND i might get 20% from sounds like quackyouton, though it's always hit or miss.

Killer deal.

For the life of me, I can't recreate this. My total is similar (I have the white color in the cart rather than the silver), but my discounts aren't adding up??

Could someone comment if the free installation for the washer/dryer includes the new water supply hoses, and electrical cords? If you bought a washer/dryer set, did it come with the stacking kit? Thank you

Check your local utility to see if any rebates are available. Another $100 to help defray the cost.

LG.com seems to particularly aggressive on pricing right now. I just bought a washer/dryer combo (WM5500HWA and DLHC5502W) plus an induction range (LSIL6332FE), with free shipping, a trade-in on the washer (with carry away), free installation for the washer + dryer, plus 2 additional years on top of the factory warrantee for each appliance, for $2152 (including tax).
Oh, and 6 months no-money-down free financing through Affirm. (Plus a couple hundred bucks in "Rinse credits". Oo-Kay.)
We emailed our go-to local appliance store gal and she said she couldn't come close to that. Almost hard to believe. We'll see if it all goes as promised, but I didn't even have to give them a CC with the no-money-down option through Affirm.
PS- part of this was a 5% off code LG emailed me in a "Did you forget your cart?" email; that worked, but was supplanted by a 10% off coupon code the site popped up saying "Before you leave, here's a 10% off code".

From a few reviews I've read on heat pump dryers, I've read they all take a long time. Does anybody have any first hand experience on this particular model? Does it take >1H to dry a normal load?

I don't have this particular dryer, but it's likely to take at least 2 hrs to dry a load. At the same time, heat pumps are very efficient, at the total electricity costs will be way less if you're able to tolerate the long drying time.

I keep getting item cannot be ordered at this time, it was working about an hour ago, then I started consulting with the wife and when I was actually ready to pull the trigger, I can't add anything to the cart.
