I just want to check: we can use the giftcards on sale at Costco for $40 to buy Nintendo vouchers, right? We can buy 2 giftcards from Costco for $80 and purchase the $100 voucher and then get the 2 $59 Nintendo games the kids want (all for the $80 at Costco). I think that's how it works but want to doublecheck. Thanks! ps That's a great deal!
This is what we've come to realize. Also, digital gets locked to an account, you can't transfer it or sell it. The age old problem. It's nice to save a few bucks on new releases but having a physical copy has so many advantages.
The one disadvantage to physical games is that they are easy to misplace, especially with kids, Those cartridges are so small! (Or you leave them at home when you want to play on your switch somewhere else).

This deal is expired now. Hope it returns as I want to get the Mariokart expansion bundle for my daughter for Christmas. She really loves that only game on switch and so I thought for online gift for her this year. Hope this offer returns again.

In general, I am a person who prefers physical copies rather than online only purchases. And news like this confirm my fear!

According to recent news, Nintendo is closing its online store (eShop) and all online services for the Nintendo Switch in China by 2026, with the digital store stopping sales on March 31, 2026, and all online services ending on May 15, 2026; this decision is being managed by Tencent, Nintendo's partner in China for distributing the Switch console there.
