I purchased it at Walmart yesterday in hopes that the RAM is upgradeable. My order confirmation came from this site: https://www.antonline.com/HP/Comp...ks/1504822 which lists a lot of tech specs. It says there are 2 memory slots upgradeable to 16mb RAM.

Anyone have any experience with that site? I'm hoping not to get a lemon.

Thank you - I've had hp, asus, Lenovo, Toshiba, etc and HP lasted the very longest- even with kids using them. My Asus and Lenovo had hinge issues. All that high end tech I paid for and it's more expensive to replace the shell than just rebuy another one.

This one or the Acer from Walmart? For wife who uses an external monitor, keyboard and doesn't game. Fairly simple web based usage, MS office, etc. I'm thinking the Acer since more Ram and HD, but not really sure of diff between Intel i5 and Ryzen 7, although prob won't notice diff for her needs. Thanks.

The one at HP has a i5-1335U cpu so basically same part but little higher speed.

There is also a $50 cashback deal on Chase credit cards is you spend $300 at HP
And you can get 10% cashback from HP at cashback site.

So you can get it cheaper at HP with at least the caskback and if you have the Chase deal then even better to stack with cashback as little as $265
