I recommend when you fluff this tree is to wear gloves and long sleeve shirt. Both my wife and I had really itchy wrist and arms after putting up the tree.
I contacted support and they said it was by design and these are actually features of the tree. You can read many comments on Home Depot regarding the same issue.
Wish the base was a little more stable, but should be ok I think. Also, this was my first pre-lit tree and I was pleasantly surprised how it just works. Pre-programmed color options work well enough to provide a variety of different options for the family.
