Wonder if I should cancel my eBay $200 refurb 6qt mixer for this new one for $20 more. Pros is this is brand new and I don't mind 5.5qt instead. Con it only comes with a 1 yr warranty (vs. eBay's 2 yrs). Thoughts?

In my opinion the 600 series 6 qt has extra power and would work well for doughs and breads.. depends what you need it for at the end of the day. If I were in your shoes I'd give the eBay one a try.

same confusion, though I already ordered from ebay refurb 6qt, and reviews says all customers received brand new.

I got the refurb direct from Kitchen aid. They have $30 off for new account. Additional 5% off using NEWSAVEFIVE and additional 15% cashback using a leading site ... you can also bundle that with 5% off paypal offer.... Hope this helps someone save a few extra $$$.

These are great for mostly everything but thin batter baking like cheesecakes. It's the only thing I've had issues making because the bowl has a weird design on the bottom that like a reverse divot that traps viscous things like cream cheese and you have to constantly spatula it out. Also, i can't find a different bowl, but maybe that's my problem?
