For those of us awaiting the new "Stormlight Archives" entry in a few hours, the "Dawnshard" novella is only $2.23. The "Skyward" series is also dirt cheap.

Remember the two golden secrets of Audible. 1) Store unused credits as pre-order audiobook purchases before your subscription runs out. There is no need to use all your credits before your membership ends. When you see a book you want (in or outside of membership), just cancel the pre-order and your credit will be returned. If that pre-order is about to be released and you still haven't used the credit, cancel the pre-order, and use the credit on another pre-order. 2) Return audiobooks you have already listened to for credits or cash refund. You can usually return up to three audiobooks at a time, but this allowance is often only every couple of months. You can return books up to one year from purchase.
This was a horrible post. It cost me $126. I got a lot of books though. Most were $3-5.
A good time for the many of us who got the $20 Audible credit over the past week to use it!

This was a pretty good sale! Just bought myself 10 books for around $35. Bought another 10 books for my wife (straight from her elfster list, so TOTAL WIN!) for about the same.

Just got 14 books for $44! They were all items on my wish list that I had put there after seeing a random post on FB or Tiktok, or hearing a friend mention a book they liked. Happy happy!

Is Wind and Truth on Sale? I have it on preorder, but would rather pay instead if under $7
I can't see the pricing on it.

I had ignored the email from Audible because its sales have been so lame of late, but I saw this on FP, checked in, and ended up buying 29 books from my wish list at an average of $2.85 apiece. And I still have 17 credits to burn by Sept.

Anyway, thanks OP!

It's like Lucy and the football. I just cancelled a trial a week or two ago and Audible is ready to give me $0.99/month for 3 months with a free $20 credit. How do they make money?

If you like Graphic Audio /Dramatizations/multiple narrators, this deal is PERFECT!

I grabbed the GA version of Red Rising, Crescent City, Fourth Wing, and some Sanderson!
I like Sanderson, but all of a sudden there's like dozens of titles out of nowhere from graphic audio; what's the context for all these titles?

How do I use that? I see my $20 balance, it shows as "discount credit." But when I add any of these books to my cart to purchase, it wants to charge my credit card instead of my balance.

Edit: nevermind. It's kind of dumb. I go through the entire purchase, it even says verifying with bank, never gives me the option to use the gift balance, completely looks like it uses my credit card. But then my balance does decrease and I I look at my order history the purchase $0. Weird.

Yeah, you need to add it to your cart rather than buying it at the book page. Then it adds the coupon for the discount cash when you purchase it at checkout. I just used my discount cash for a $19.80 purchase. My card wasn't charged.

No it worked just fine purchasing it from the book page. It didn't charge my card, it used my points. I'm just saying it looked like it was going to charge my card, and gave no indication or choice to use the balance. But it did.

If you look for something like Elantris, you'll like see 3 options. 1 for the original audiobook (with 1 narrator) and alternatively there's a graphic audio…but they are usually broken out into 2 parts. You'll need to buy both parts.

I'm guessing the reason they are broken up is production time & cost because it's a full cast and sometimes with a musical score and sound effects.

I picked up Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer for $2.51
I can't say whether I recommend it or not, but the reviews are stellar and it's a long book.

While there are definitely some decent deals, the prices are most definitely higher than last year's Cyber Monday sale, at least in the SciFi & Fantasy genre.
Last year, I spent around $100 and got ~40 titles. This year it looks like $35 for 10 titles, about a 30% increase (not bothering to do the exact math).

Yeah, you're exactly right, some books they raised the price by 20-30% then marked it 87% off. It's like at a grocery store where they say it's on sale but they raised the original price and lowered it so to make it seem like your actually saving a lot.
