More specifically, a limited number of devices will support Extended Power Range (EPR) which at 28V and up to 5A enables the 140W rating. Typically laptops would peak at the 20V Power Delivery (PD) mode, limiting this adapter at up to 5A to no more than 100W. Either of those limits are dependent upon a 5A e-marked cable, otherwise output is limited to 3A current.

Good luck!

This isn't a court of law buddy. I'd tell you I've been burned by counterfeit memory cards, textbooks, and even toothbrushes -- but you'd probably yell about something else.

Look, folks....just look up "amazon commingled" and make your own call.
How do we know it's not counterfeit?

You don't! That's the risk you accept when buying from Amazon -- there's a reason why the prices are so low.

Woot still has the problem with Apple counterfeiting, not Amazon (any longer).

Incorrect.

Woot == Amazon. Woot sells counterfeits frequently, and Amazon still uses inventory commingling. That's where third-party inventory is mixed with Amazon's own inventory. There's virtually no protections against counterfeits. It's literally the classic tale of "Buyer Beware."

Well consider that with woot! [woot.com] the shipping label will be about the only insight you can get as to the seller. Could be Amazon, could be a random 3rd party...

Good luck!

Says it has the 1 year Apple warranty so if it's counterfeit would be grounds for a chargeback

Apple initially declined my coverage on my air pods because I bought them direct from Amazon. I spent hours on the phone over weeks to get authorization for repair.
