Project farm reviewed Avapow and it was number 2 on the list of best jumpers. Watch your mouth talking about Avapow. No name brand my a$$
The Ryobi one is good too if you already have the 18v set.
Why wouldn't it? I have owned tons of air inflators throughout the years from cheap $10 Ross ones to Viair and Ryobi ones. All of them have been able to fully inflate car tires with no issues. What makes the difference is the noise level, run time (they can over heat), and speed at which they can inflate the tires. I have a cheap $40 jump starter/air compressor/power bank and it inflates tires just fine and it's just a bit slower than my two Ryobi portable tire inflators.

I don't know this brand but for the price it seems like a great deal, just keep in mind to charge it every 3 months or so because the last thing you want is to find out it's dead when you are on the side of the road. And of course it's better to have a tire inflator that plugs into the cigarette lighter but this one is more convenient if space is an issue.

I enjoy PF reviews as much as the next guy, and I admire how thorough he tries to be in his process, but all of his recommendations come with some important limitations... The greatest being: sample size of 1 (which, as anyone who has ever received a dud product can attest to, is not necessarily representative of what you'll receive). Not to mention the factors of longevity, warranty support, non-weighted scoring (resulting in a product's overall rank being affected as much by how much force it takes to press a switch as how well it performs its primary function). All that to say, highly entertaining and informative, but not definitive.

I've bought so many of jump starters for the past of couple of years. I know Slickdeals - those prices were must buy. But ended up a lot of the batteries seemed popped up. Still usable, just not sure when it will exploded

Is this legit? Specs seem kind of high for this price point
You doubt the 150 PSI digital air compressor and 24000 mAh battery capacity?

Me too.

Really? I always thought high heat killed batteries. That's good to know.
Yeah I have had some from various Amazon brands and got 5 years out of them. A few started to fail recently

I bought the 6000 model from one of the last S.D..I was thinking because I have a newer car I would only be helping out other people with dead batteries. Wrong, I didn't shut the car door all the way and had a dead battery in the morning. The Avapow 6000 worked great and saved .e from having to get the jumper cables out and moving cars around.

I remember when Anker first came onto the market I thought it was just another cheap accessory manufacturer and look at how big they are today. Don't sleep on Avapow

I've had an avapow for ~2y. Used it 4 or 5x to help stranded motorists without issue. Not sure if this model has "dead battery" mode or whatever its called though.
on avapow it's either "BOOST" or "Force start" - usually a button next to where the connector goes into the battery pack. I can't see the button on the walmart pics. Easy enough to return to walmart though if it lacks the feature.

Lithium batteries hate high heat just like they hate extreme cold, your battery life will be decreased significantly depending on state of charge, temperature, and long term exposure. You will be lucky if you get two years out of one these guys. What will usually happen, you will go to use it, see it at 100%, use it once and it will either work and then drop down to like 10/20% state of charge instead of like 90% or it will just fail from long term exposure. Making it a one time use item and a throw away.

Thats why I recommend spending double this and getting a battery less jump starter with super caps in them, they last a lifetime and will work in any temperatures and can be stored without worry no matter the extremes. My current one is going about 5 years strong now. Best of all does not require any maintenance or remembering to charge it every 4-6 months....

The only nice things about this avapow is that it includes a cheap air compressor.
What is the brand of the one you own, where did you buy it from and for how much? I bought the one that I see the guys from AAA use (JNC660) and that thing was a beast but you must charge it once a month. And of course, I did not and now it's as good as dead. I'm thinking about replacing the battery inside it but that's a project for another day. Anyhow, I am interested in the one you have if it truly doesn't need maintenance.

I second this sentiment! Any well-known brand or item started out as an unknown at one time when it first came on the market. By the same token, not all products that came from a well-known brand is a great product either! I rely on experience and research...but sometimes, a leap of faith and hope for the best. Usually it worked out for the best but sometimes, it doesn't. Isn't this life in a nutshell?!?
