I found a great piece of software on a German website that they are giving away today until - it will do deblur and enlarge photographs much like you see in TV shows - it's now real, and works.


It is good for restoration of old small photographs and/or screen grabs that are blurry and enlarge up to 8x.

Use a web page translator or follow these instructions:


Click on the green button that says "Lizenzverlosung 0 [Euro]" install from the link on the right side under "Lade meine Setup-Datei herunter" click the blue download link of: Lade die Setup-Datei für Aiarty Image Enhancer herunterOpen it, and it will install the English version of the software.


Once it is open you can register the software:


Go to Menu > Register >
enter a valid email address > [any valid e-mail address]
paste the code > FADMQ-ZIGLO-4FWXA-7ABBF for windows
paste the code > FBQSL-QJ3NB-S4VJY-Z7JCB for Mac
click 'Activate'.Works best with a modern video card.

Was curious whether this would just be an overblown frontend to submitting images to their cloud-based inference service or if it processed things locally. Upon first opening the program the very first dialog box to appear informed me of my current hardware specs for both CPU and GPU, which is promising from a privacy standpoint. Thumbs-upped.

So you need to download, install, activate, and keep it installed it seems.

free is free. I just prefer freeware that doesn't have to be installed forever for a possible eventual use.

I think you maybe incorrect that you need to keep it installed. Once you Install and Register it, and I assume you keep the registration code for the next install, you get to keep it forever (i.e. uninstall and reinstall again). I am thinking this based on their note:

"The giveaway license keys are for Aiarty Image Enhancer v2.6 for Windows and v2.7 for Mac. You can use both versions permanently, but please note that free upgrades are not included."

Also on the download page, it notes that " Each setup file and activation code is valid for use on one computer only. This is to maintain the integrity of our software distribution and ensure a fair experience for everyone." I'm not sure if the activation code is changed over time or not.

did you use your regular email address? It says the code isn't valid but its the current one on their page so idk what the issue is

I got as far as installing and applying the key from their website. But when I go to enhance an image I get the error "model download fail!"

Anyone have a solution for this?

For those wondering how well this works. Not well at all. Left is original, right is the "enhanced". Sure, the original is not great to begin with, but I would argue the enhanced is much worse. Same or worse results will all 3 models included

I guess text doesnt get handled as good. I tried a photo and it came out ok pretty good.
