Definitely better than the bugout. I've cut 16.4 miles of cardboard so far with mine. It's only gotten sharper. Ok for real though, I've got it, and for for the price, there really is nothing better.
I'm a guy that carries a Benchmade in my pocket every day. But I'm by no means a knife snob. I flew to a different state for a week, picked up this knife from Walmart for ten bucks and was floored at the quality you get for the price. They have to lose money on these. It comes sharp, locks tight and did everything I asked of it. At the end of the trip I gave it to the guy we rented our van from and flew out.
Gotta pay $200 for a plastic folding knife so CEOs can pay for their Ferrari.

Probably not better than the bugout, definitely more inexpensive, apparently can't cut more than 20 ft of cardboard

Show me a better knife for $10. This knife is an incredible value with d2 steel and will cut more than 20ft of cardboard. Sharpeners exist and this still will hold an edge longer than the cheapo knives with chinese steel.

I finally saw these in stock in my local store first the first time ever this week. I've been checking regularly ever since they came out. Love it!

I have had mine for a couple weeks and it is a nice knife.

Quite light in the pocket and smooth.

I will say that a quick spritz of oil on the unlock slider was necessary for real smooth operation.

I've seen conflicting reviews of this knife. One thing I'll say about budget knife like this, they'll ship with variable levels of sharpness. Be cautious of any review that doesn't sharpen the knife, then test. At this price, out of the box sharpness is probably a feature, though, too.

This second batch is a V2 with reversible pocket clip, and brighter handle. I'd speculate that a lot of the QC issues with the first batch have been resolved or gotten better. I had Omega spring break immediately on the first one and the action just was not good at all, in the second batch here mine have been flawless. It's actually ruined knife collecting for me, I started selling a lot of my $50-100 knives. Between this and the white $5 Holiday crossbar lock with no liners (closer to Bugout clone), I could be perfectly content carrying those two around they were the only two I could ever have

There is one review where the dude couldn't get it to stay sharp and another live stream of a dude going for hours straight. So QC is an issue on heat treat, no one knows how prevalent the bad ones are yet though. For $10 though it's worth a gamble! Worst case you have a beater knife you abuse or leave somewhere just in case you need to make a single cut so edge retention isn't a huge issue. Best case is you have a great knife that will retain an edge better than most knives at several times it's price tag.
