Costco warehouse has clearance on selective MacBook pro 14. The one with M3 pro chip in space black color is $1449.97. I was able to grab one earlier today in local store.

The version with 8G RAM is also on clearance for $1099.97.

Most people would be better off with the base M4 MBP, which has been discounted to $1399 a few times already. The base M4 model basically trades slower SSD and GPU performance for faster CPU. But people who actually need more SSD/GPU performance probably need 1TB+ SSD and additional GPU cores, so the old M3 Pro in this configuration is for a small, niche market. Not bad; it just needs to be sub-$1300 for it to be a really good deal.

Best buy also has refurbished units for $1350 (but I'm not sure whar refurbished means with respect to Best buy).

This is similar to the price Costco was selling it for back in mid-August $1649.99 - $150 off = $1499.99

I remember chasing the clearance M2 Pro 14" late last year at Costco during the M3 changeover. I don't think M3 Pro this time is worth the time & effort, as this machine only has 5 performance cores, reduced memory bandwidth (compared to M2 Pro and M4 Pro). I tried it and returned it. Given that M3 Pro in this config is equal/slightly worse than a widely available base M4, I would wait until another sale on base M4 and skip this one. Maybe if M3 Pro got down to $1199 in warehouse when they are desperate to clear them it might be worth another look, but not at this price.

Their magic is that their swap is super fast, which along with the shared pool of memory and pretty good management, it helps alleviate a solid 50% of memory overrun conditions. BUT its still possible to bring these machines to their knees if you know you need more than their memory.
