Not a fan of Phillips, but 3 year warranty is awesome.

I bought a Philips TV from Walmart in December 2022. It died (display failure) in December 2023, exactly 1 day after the warranty expired.

Walmart did diddly squat about that and the Philip's outsourced support did the same.

3 years is nice and maybe I got unlucky so YMMV

This model hit the market in mid 2023. Picture quality is pretty good, sound is so so. It's one of the better TVs they have released in years.

Doubtful. At this price point QLED is often a marketing gimmick. There might be a slight improvement in PQ but you really need to step up price wise to really benefit from QLED.

There's a reason people were complaining about the Hisense Q6 or QD6 from Costco having mediocre picture quality despite being QLED.

I think rtings.com gave the Hisense A series (non QLED) better marks for HDR movies than the Q series.

I've repaired a few Best Buy TVs with bad Phillips power supply board. Lack/insufficient heat sinks causing premature failure. Some boards don't have a heatsink attached to bridge rectifier. Go with TCL if $ is tight and leave one foot around the TV for ventilation.

TPV Technology owns Philips, AOC, and Envision...not the most reliable name in this business.

I have the 50" version bought from Target when it was roughly this price. The Phillips Roku QLED combination is awesome.

Consumer Affairs is where people with complaints go to complain. Nobody who has anything good to say will post on Consumer Affairs.

You know who Consumer Affairs has as their top reviewed brands? Hitachi, Emerson, and Sanyo. Essentially brands nobody has that the companies themselves post bogus reviews for.

I would never use Consumer Affairs as some kind of evidence. According to your logic I should trust Sanyo more than LG.

Does anyone know how the warranty works? Do you go through Sam's to get a new tv. Do they give you a gift card if it messes up? Repair?
