Bought a gold bar for the first time. This is both newmont and PAMP certified. Good purchase IMO.
Savings: 2% from Costco membership and 2% from Credit card.

Spot price on gold over 2690 and these are still available at 2670. With 4% back this is a no brainer.

How about the bars of platinum? Is that undervalued vs gold?

Selling at $80 over spot and with the buy/sell spread I'd avoid it. If you are considering something other than gold for an undervalued metal Palladium might be worth a look. But again the buy/sell spread is pretty big.

Thank you. They are out of the Pamp bars. Are the 1oz Rand Refinery any different as far as future resale value?

Most dealers pay the same price around here, about 2% back of spot price.
