This says 1.3 cents per mile. But that's just an estimate. They're only worth something if you're going to use them. If you don't fly Alaska much, you may never have enough miles to use them.

The card will offer Alaska Lounge passes and inflight Wi-Fi passes" i think that's totally worth it. Considering the lounge alone would be a great way to escape the other lounges. inflight wifi is a bonus. I think the value will come with those kinds of perks that add up.

About 6 months ago I was on a plane from ID to PA. Sat on the runway for over an hour and a half while they tried to make repairs.
Eventually they had everyone get off the plane. Wait another hour for them to find a new plane, we boarded and had another technical difficulty. After another hour they had everyone get off the plane again and advised us to go to another terminal to board the next plane. Arrived to the terminal to find out the flight was cancelled.
Waited in the terminal for another 10 hours until the next flight was available. Worst experience ever

It simply means that you don't/can't get the bonus by product changing an existing AS credit card to the forthcoming premium card.
