Being that boards are split, I highly recommend against this. I've played on this and it really ruins the game. It's not much more for solid piece sets and it won't warp or be off over time

Reviews complain about it being hard to assemble and being 4 pieces (meaning there will be a seam in the middle of the table). For the price, I'm okay with those complaints.
Snagged one as a Christmas present for my teenagers.

A seam down the middle of the board? Lol you 100% cannot play table tennis with a seam in the center of the table. Whatever engineer had to design this should have resigned at the mention of this idea!

The seam is under the net, it's so you can fold it for storage and for playing one player. I thought this was pretty standard for home tables. We bought this 5-7 years around the same price and it has held up well inside. We keep it set up.

Naw this table has a seam down the middle of each side of the net apparently. The seam under the net that you're referring to is fine because the ball doesn't bounce there. You might have a different table that doesn't have a seam/crack down each side of the table.

It's 4 sections so there are 2 seams.

A seem down the middle of both sides of the table is egregious. Can't even recommend for beer pong.

The seam is directly under the net and doesn't hinder play…I've got one and folds up nicely

"Official tournament size 9' x 5' table with 4-piece construction"

4 Piece construction...that means seems both length and width. Aka a seem in the middle where the net is and another seem down the center white line dividing the left/right from the player perspective.

It was $99 last year. People are complaining about the seam in the middle.

I bought it from amazon this August, definitely not as good as the STIGA or JOOLA ones but worth the price (paid $200), kinda difficult to put it together tho (more than 100 screws)

Yes, this is exactly the main issue with this product. I had one some years ago and the surface pieces are not necessarily perfectly flush with each other, so that seam between 2 panels could affect the bounce of the ball. The product is really a bunch of cheap materials that warp and crack over time. Mine did not last a few months before the wheels broke. The top surface warped within a year, etc. I'd recommend to spend more to at least get something that has a single wood slab on each playing side. Even better if the other components (wheels, trims, etc.) are higher quality.
