Got these and a pair of socks as filler to get FS with the promo code. Great shoe even for casual use on a rainy day.

Agreed. I got the Agile Peak 5 gore-tex for about $81 a couple of weeks ago, but probably would've gone for this deal had it been there.

Any idea how some of the gortex men's sizes run and also how they are on heals? I have a hard time finding a good running shoe for winter running that does not rub really hard on my heals.

Do you mean how hard the foam below the heel is, or the counter, which is the material directly behind your foot/ankle?

I got a pair of Nova 3s a while back just to have a pair of waterproof shoes and I will say they are very lightweight yet supportive and really damn comfortable shoes.

Thanks for the recommendation, in for 2. I went 1/2 size up for thicker wool socks. If the shoe is thick enough, I'll use sheet metal screws on 1 pair for grip on ice.
