Anybody have issues with the USB connection? The last couple of headlamps from Sofirn the USB plug hasn't been a tight connection and can't charge.
I've had the same issues. These lights like long narrow plugs. I have several cords that won't work with sofirn.

I have purchased several of these and the newer models use usb-c which should hold up better. On previous models with micro usb, the connection gets loose after a few charges.
Otherwise, if I don't loose them first, these headlamps last about 3 months before they stop charging or the light stops working. I still keep buying them because they are light and easy to turn on and off (on other headlamps I constantly search for the button).
Do you have any idea *why* they have stopped working/charging within 3 months for you?

I upgraded to the HS21 for faster charging, Buck driver, improved head strap, and more output. Think these were $30 on a preorder, so $32 delivered was not bad.

How bright are these? Worth purchasing?
Much brighter than generic ones you can find around this price.

I haven't had any USB connection issues with multiple ones and was able use my own generic USB C cables and plugs.

What's the runtime?

Can any 18650 battery be used in this?

Edit: could be wrong but in low mode I'm going to assume it'll last at least a few hours or more. Since there's a removable tail cap I'll assume it will accept any standard size 18650 3 volt.
Yes, it can use any 18650 battery in my experience. It runs more than 4-5 hours in low mode and keeps charge on stand by for months. I was able to use it over a few months with short uses each time.

Good for walking/bike riding?
I am using it for bike rides and it has been working great with wide evenly spread floodlight.

I need as bright as white as possible with the option to operate with a red light. The LR seems to drop down to 500 lumens instead of 2400. Is that right?

edit: I ordered the H05B with 1000lm white and 500lm red

If you're thinking about Christmas - these would be good stocking stuffers, but they ship from China, so there's no way you'll get them in time.

How long did it take for the strap to wear out?
I already own two of the older 1200 lumen model - one at work and one at home. The one I bought in 2019 isn't as elastic as it once was, but it is still fine if I tighten the adjustments. Over 4 years until I noticed.

Bummer. I ordered one for my spouse in hopes it would be here in time. We still needed one so not a big deal.

I went for the Energizer equivalent based on recommendations from an SD user and have been blown away by how good it is. Think it's $14 just like this, but only has a single LED instead of two but it's bright enough for the girls I go out with.

I've had it for 4 years, the strap still works but I need to adjust it nearly every time I use it
