Additionally, they have a fresh cut deli, with really good prices, the others don't.
The downside is, as other have said is couponing. Unlike Costco and Sam's, you dont get the coupons automatically or see specials/coupons listed in store/on item, you have to go through archaic coupon cutting either on paper or virtually on their app/website (you can use a script to scrape/activate all coupons, but still, a pain).
I would say their store branded stuff is fine, similar to Kirkland, members. I think its just the couponing that irks me because I dont want to be doing research on every single item to see if coupons work or not, but I know for many on this site thats half the joy.
So mostly the same, six degrees of seperation, if you will. Oh, and depending on the store location, some of these can be very empty and easy to navigate, unlike the others (especially Costco with their recent draconian rules, which are going to lead me to drop them soon).

The cooked chickens for $5 alone makes the membership worth it.
Can i go to the counter and refund my membership?
Then sign my wife up as a new account? (i never listed her on this one)
Here is the link to the coupon script, it works very well, it uses TamperMonkey. If it doesnt allow my link just google "BJ's Wholesale Club Coupon Clicker"

As to your second question, I would think your wife would be able to get a new membership since she was never in their database system. And I can't imagine they would deny her because of the same address because people move so unrelated people can have the same address in a computer database.
The script below worked for me, I didn't install anything. It auto-clicked all coupons in a few seconds.
1- Open Browser (and browse to BJS.COM)
2- Right click on your Browser and click on Inspect.
3- The developer Tools shall open, select the CONSOLE tab on the top
4- Paste the script at the bottom
5- Press ENTER
6- YOUR COUPONS shall be applied in a bit.
7- Refresh your screen after 4-5 seconds to see them applied.
let buttons = document.getElementsByClassName('Buttonstyle__StyledButton-sc-1p91mnj-0 cyDgas');
for (let i = 0; i < buttons.length; i++) {
buttons[i].click();
}
