Additionally, they have a fresh cut deli, with really good prices, the others don't.
The downside is, as other have said is couponing. Unlike Costco and Sam's, you dont get the coupons automatically or see specials/coupons listed in store/on item, you have to go through archaic coupon cutting either on paper or virtually on their app/website (you can use a script to scrape/activate all coupons, but still, a pain).
I would say their store branded stuff is fine, similar to Kirkland, members. I think its just the couponing that irks me because I dont want to be doing research on every single item to see if coupons work or not, but I know for many on this site thats half the joy.
So mostly the same, six degrees of seperation, if you will. Oh, and depending on the store location, some of these can be very empty and easy to navigate, unlike the others (especially Costco with their recent draconian rules, which are going to lead me to drop them soon).

AND then further, even if you do scan and go, they want to re-scan/check EVERY SINGLE ITEM on exit. A bit rediculous.

I'm in SoCal and here Costco is the main one so that's where I go.
But when I go back to visit family in Atlanta they have all three and what I like about BJs is that they don't make you buy things in quite as much bulk.
I prefer Costco and my dad prefers BJs.
My experience is that the gas prices are about the same, which is much better than most other gas stations.
Here is the link to the coupon script, it works very well, it uses TamperMonkey. If it doesnt allow my link just google "BJ's Wholesale Club Coupon Clicker"

That said, BJs has similar items but sizes are different (a bulk pack at Costco may look more expensive but has more product) and clipping coupons is required vs. Costco just applying a sale when the sale is going on. I'd trust Costco with fresh bread loaves over BJs but I can't get rolls fresh baked at Costco so BJs gets that notch.
I wouldn't buy electronics at BJs (Costco often includes extended warranties and the return policy is great) nor would I buy eyeglasses at BJs based on past purchases.
Tires, I'm impartial but tend to Pick Costco due to better installation experience and tire warranty (even if rotations take too long).
While gas is cheaper with my CC at BJs, Costco is Top Tier so I trust it more.
Liquor at BJs seems to be more "common" stuff, Costco has more mid and higher-end stuff.
Crowds at Costco are more pronounced in my area and BJs is really only busy on Saturday/Sunday afternoons and before holidays, but even then, still less busy than Costco at the same times.
In the end, I prefer Costco, especially when you have access to a Business Center location but haven't found a reason to get rid of my BJs membership…yet.

Shopping for sales is a bit more irritating since you have to go through hundreds (At times) clipable coupons.
Definitely more variety than Costso; and their app is lightyears better.
