True SDers only go to Bucees for the gas... if we go inside, it's only for the restroom.
Good question. Their gas prices are often the best around, but most everything inside is pretty steeply priced.

From the FAQ:Where can I use my Gift Card?
You can use your Gift Card at any Buc-ee's instore location. From https://www.thestockdork.com/does...-cards/Are Buc-ee's gift cards eligible for fuel purchases?
Unfortunately, Buc-ee's gift cards cannot be used to purchase fuel. They are exclusively designed for in-store or online merchandise purchases.
I live in the northeast. It's impossible to wear a Buc-ee's shirt out and not get attention from strangers. A lady walking her dog this morning asked which Buc-ee's I got my lawn xmas beaver inflatable from. I gave bags of Beaver Nuggets to some local friends and it put a smile on their face. I'm the type who won't step foot inside a restaurant without coupon in hand -- my last couple Buc-ee's trips I've dropped $600+ each. Buc-ee's is a special place.

Have a Buc-ees less than 2 miles from the house. They have the best beer prices in town. You can also purchase fuel with these as long as you pay in-store. Stocking up!

Are you all risking regular mail or having them sent priority?

I don't know what stage of life you're in, but if you invest $20 a day at a conservative 5%, you'd have $100k in 10 years.

Only 5 percent? I'm taking the brisket.

Or invest in 2 brisket sandwiches and candied nuts everyday instead and you won't need $100k in 10 years

I just did regular mail. If Buc-ee's mails them snail mail and I never receive them, I'll just let them deal with Amex.

For those that don't know. Bu-cee's is a Texas mega gas station chain with over 50-80 gas stalls in each location. They're known for their super clean and massive bathrooms, their jerky and lots of other food options, their clothing line is really appealing because of the cute Beaver and little phrases.
They also sell a lot of hunting/camping/grills/fire pits, lots of other stuff like an outdoorsy department store.
Gas is usually cheaper, they have decent to pretty darn good food for a quick stop, pick up some new swim trunks or tshirts, and again, the bathrooms is always clean and huge.
maybe someone covered all this already, but there's a quick overview of Bu-cee's in Texas :-)

Moved to Texas just this year. I have a Buc-ees just a couple of miles from my place, and I cross it every day. Visited there for the first time just yesterday. The restrooms are truly outstanding. I had heard about how clean they have it, and even then I was surprised. Each restroom is a separate room, not just open cabins.

The place was packed when we stopped by there. I ended up getting coffee and some pudding for the kids, and wife picked up margarita mixes. The self-serve coffee with multiple creamer options reminded me of how it is in Cumberland Farms in upstate NY. Prices in general did seem on the higher side. I was a bit surprised by the final bill, though I don't recollect now how much it was. This gift card would definitely be useful for trips.

Hadn't realized gas is cheap there, and I've been driving past for months. I'll have to compare it with Walmart gas prices. I usually fill up at Walmart gas stations. They seem to be the cheapest around here (even more so than Costco or Sam's club), and I have Walmart+ which knocks of another 10c. I did the math and I realized Walmart+ basically pays for itself in just gas (both me and my wife drive 30+miles one way to work; that's about 130 miles daily between the two of us). Will switch to Buc-ees if it's cheaper.

I doubt their gas is TOP TIER. Their snacks are good, though.

As someone from east coast who may visit Texas soon and stop by one.

What would one buy at a Buc-ees for $120? Aside from gas

Trying to gauge if this would be overkill for my short 4 day visit to Texas
