I had the same issue until I realized that by simply copying and pasting the number into the gift card box, the card number had spaces in it. I deleted all the spaces and the card worked on the website. I bet if you delete the spaces it will work on the app too. Be sure and delete the space at the end.

I also worked at AMC for fifteen years. There is nothing, I REPEAT, NOTHING wrong with the cooked food at AMC. It is absolutely delectable and worth probably double the price they sell it for. Not only that, but everyone knows AMC has the best popcorn on this planet. No offense but I reported your post for nonsensical fear mongering.

I worked there- whatever you do:

DON'T EAT THE COOKED FOOD (that includes the popcorn).

I'm dead serious.
What about cooked popcorn???

Maybe your AMC was better than mine, but what I saw behind the concession stand was disgusting. Cooked food and popcorn all over the floor, often the kids would serve under-cooked foods, the frier and mini-ovens were long past cleaning. We were also allowed to serve popcorn without using gloves, that often meant putting bare hands into the popcorn . And of course, the occasional rodent or two. Every so often someone came in complaining of food poisoning and the general attitude of the staff was "Take it up with corporate".

Often the attitude from the managers I received when I spoke up was "Let the night cleaning crew handle it".

I have no idea about the full kitchen because I never worked there, but from what I saw of the concession stand I would never anything there except if it was pre-packaged.
