I bought one of these a while back (Amazon open-box). It's a lot of fun and works well as a drum trigger (uses default MIDI mapping, was plug and play on my MacBook). The built in sounds aren't bad, you can even put your own sounds on it though I haven't tried it yet. The responsiveness is good, though I've heard other pads are better. The ergonomics of this is probably the main selling point - once you get used to it playing feels more natural than a 4x4 box grid.

Does what I need to for making drum tracks, and much cheaper and smaller than buying a good e-kit.
