Why is that? We opened one when we re-did our kitchen -- we even had a Best Buy "kitchen consultant" come to the house and adjust all the prices down to the lowest he could do. Since we opened the card it was (at the time) 10% back in rewards. I figured we'd never use the card again, but they constantly send offers to get more rewards for making purchases (e.g. 5% back in rewards for shopping at Costco). It's actually turned out to be a pretty decent card for us.
For clarification, it's 20% back in BB Reward points. You can use those directly for purchases at BBY for full value, or they will allow you to convert them to a selection of gift cards, but typically at half the value you'd get using them at BBY.

If not excluded, would be worth the hassle for a big discount on a cell phone, especially stacked with a sale. Ex. SG S24 Ultra at $850 like a few weeks back.

NTM outfitting a new kitchen, or even a whole house!

Edit
Still waiting on the 4% CB offer for the Fidelity card w/ permanent 2% CB after the promo period.

Don't do it. Of all the credit cards I've ever acquired, this is the only one I've ever regretted.

EDIT: This card is not worth a hard pull

I was going to do this, but found out that you couldn't buy the latest unlocked iPhones from Best Buy. You have to sign up and activate with a carrier (and no Tmobile either...only ATT or Verizon)

this has a negative impact on your credit because it lowers your "average age" of accounts. I would not recommend doing that with any credit account.
my credits in general over 800. no cares. doing this every other year isn't detrimental, 750 dollars outweighs few point drop

The average age of accounts will be the same as if you never opened it

Opposite experience for me. Had mine since 2006, nothing but normal credit card experiences. They actually send me offers pretty regularly that are achievable and don't cost me anything, like spend $500 anywhere in the next 60 days and get $10 free. I always hit it without adjusting my spending, so for me it's just free bby money. They also do 5% cash back every quarter in a random category. This quarter it's gas. It's money to use at bby also, not real cash back.
