This is great as a parent when my kids have their allotted TV time, i get to sit behind them on the couch and play my PS5…no longer have to wait for them to go to bed!

You can stream from your ps5 without having the subscription. The subscription is for the cloud gaming option I believe.

This is a good deal if you can snag it and you ha e the set up right for it. I haven't touched one since the newest update, but had one for a while when they came out. Ended up trading it because for me, even when it was running near perfect, the streaming delay or random wifi usage spikes in my home made the games I was playing impossible to time the attacks right. This is definitely a niche item with huge potential; if you are in that niche, you will love it.

Great price, it's fast, beautiful screen and the ergonomics of a PS5 controller. Only thing I don't like is it doesn't support YouTube, Netflix, etc. as far as I know, for those interested mostly on media

People complaining about this being non oled, i have a80 77" and 65" CX. For some reason, the display on this device is soooo beatiful and eye catching! The colors are magnificent believe or not. Not being an oled is no issue at all in this one

You need PS+ Premium for cloud gaming, yes, but you don't need even PS+ Essential for PS5 remote play. So, as long as the game is installed on your PS5, you don't need the PS+ subscription.

That said, I quit PS+ because of the price increase, and I'm more than happy streaming to my Steam Deck. My OLED model can stream with about twice the battery runtime of the Portal, not to mention all the games it can play without an internet connection.
