Just what I need for mom for her next power outage. It won't make it here before Christmas unfortunately but that's okay.

Overall rating of 4.6 / 5 stars. Looks like many of the reviewers bought this lantern for household power outages.

Water and weather resistance is the biggest selling point plus I like battery operated if I
Don't use often or as in an emergency box kit

One review says it works well with rechargeable batteries, looks like Walmart is not the place to find deals for them though.

I have something like these but rechargeable version so if Mom is used to recharging her phone, it will be the same concept via USB. On the other hand if you want something, a little more automated and every bathroom I have a wall plug light from Mom that is also a removable flashlight when the power is out it act like a night light when plugged into the wall and keep the battery charged in case of power outage. You can remove it use like a regular flashlight.

I'm sold on these others, bought them twice.. still decent price at $7 ea. Dual use, hot plugged as night light or use battery pack for extended power outages. EZVALO Under Cabinet Lighting Wireless, 3 Color Temps Motion Sensor Lights Indoor, 62 LED Rechargeable, https://slickdeals.net/f/17987157-11-99-ezvalo-under-cabinet-lighting-wireless-3-color-temps-motion-sensor-lights-indoor-62-led-rechargeable-dimmable-under-counter-lights-for-kitchen-closet-stairs-2-pack?v=1

I had to specifically look for something that used batteries, she still has a flip phone with micro USB but I know she wouldn't keep up with charging something by a cord or putting it out in the sunroom. I have a luminaid solar emergency lantern as my power outage buddy and it works great if you're someone who remembers to keep things charged. (Mine charges up just from the ambient light coming through the bedroom window). The nightlight idea is interesting.

I've used this fishing and they work great. Inexpensive enough for when they get thrown around or fall on the ground...and hasn't failed me all these years. Must've had mine since 2019. Definitely better than the 3 pack set from Costco.

I have this exact lab web as well. Had it for years…I keep it in my car and take it when camping. It works very well and is brighter than you might think.

We have several of these. Not what I'd consider "camping rated" but perfectly suitable for power outages. The lantern style is 100x better than a traditional flashlight for bathroom trips in the dark.
