Yes, they look very similar but are not interchangeable. I tried it myself.

I saw that the mid torque impact wrench was pretty damn good, but I wonder how good a $30 drill driver/impact driver set would be. I think, based on what we've seen in tearing for this line of tools, you're better off getting a cheap drill/impact set from Skil.
But if you really only have $30, I guess you can give this a gamble.

Also, these are brushed. There is a massive improvement to the hyper tough brushless tools. You may want to consider them if you're considering this set.

Needed a small set for a relative as a gift for light duty stuff around the house. This is perfect instead of a no name brand off Amazon. Doubt it is great, but good enough will do this round. Wish it had 2 batteries though.

All these tools are made by TTI who owns ryobi, Milwaukee etc. This set is practically the same as the old Craftsman 12v set before Sears closed down minus the better battery charger the Craftsman set came with. It's a pretty decent set. It would be worth buying a better chuck for the drill which will add $30. TTI does make it so that the batteries are not interchangeable between their brands but if you ever get in a pinch you can swap out the battery internals. I know some people who owned the more expensive Milwaukee sets were doing that… buying the cheaper versions batteries and swapping the internals… you can also 3d print the battery housings. I think someone made a universal one on printables.

I do believe you're confusing Hyper Tough with Hart power tools. While Walmart sells both brands, only Hart is manufactured by TTI.

I still have that Craftsman set and it works great, if it weren't for the battery that doesn't last long anymore. I wonder if I could use this battery with my set.

If you are talking about the Craftsman Nextec line then the battery does not looks like it will fit. The sides on the Nextec slope all the way up to the back while this one go up and down, peaking at the latch. The Nextec got 3 contacts and this one got a charging jack in the middle of 2 contacts.
The Nextec battery looks like it is easy to open up and replace the internal batteries.

For a bit more coin they have brushless models which will have more power and better chuck.

Hmm, I've been looking for a drill I could just leave in the car to use in conjunction with the tire plug kit.

I'm wondering that three!
I still have a few of the old Craftsman Nextec 12V tools that I use a lot, and it would be great if these were interchangeable!
