This thing is not hard to assemble.. For Pete's sake, there aren't even any screws. You don't even need a screwdriver. At most just a rubber mallet. What has this world come to.

Have some similar to this, but almost double the depth. They're ok, but the 12" here is very very shallow unless you specifically need it.

12" is great for setting up a Lifep04 battery bank with Group 31 batteries. 300+ pounds per shelf should hold up nice. The batteries are under 25lbs each.

Have this and the pain to build is the least of its problems. If you care about quality at all, this is cheap, flimsy and wobbly with thin metal and cardboard shelves. I would not trust it to hold anything more important than toys and squishmallows. A waste of space for adults, but a good idea for Baby's First Garage Shelving.

Got similar shelves from a deal at Lowe's (~Feb 2023 if memory serves) for around $32 each. Enormous PITA to build, esp if building on your own. The particleboard shelves can rot if it is anywhere humid (mine aren't). I would stick to standard wire shelves as they are much, much easier to build.

Or get some OSB or pallet wood is cheaper but more time consuming, but you should be able to use a circular saw to cut between the braces and drywall screws to secure a piece across the bottom for the cheapest, sturdy shelf. Blue pallets are stronger and heavier. My farmer friend doesn't use them because they're too heavy to move frequently for his pumpkins. Would be sturdier than the shelf unit.

Lets see the shelf is 27" wide and the batteries are 6.7"
So basically 3 per shelf
100ah x 3 = 300ah = 3.6kWh
150ah x 3 = 450ah = 5.4kWh

So, if you used all 5 shelves with 100ah batteries your looking at 18kWh
and the 150ah would be 27kWh
