Yeah this is one of those disappointments for people who don't look at gpm and only psi and wonder why it's taking forever to wash something.

For reference, commercial pressure washing is a minimum 4.0 gpm. More water, more cleaning ability. PSI isn't really too important unless you're trying to reach a second story or clean super dirty driveways. Chemicals and GPM make cleaning easier, not more PSI.

Yes. It would. I use a 1900 psi 1.2 GPM for detailing my cars and it works great with a snubby.

~1,000 psi with as much gpm you can get is considered ideal for washing cars. Advertised specs are rarely as high as what you actually get. With electric pressure washers for car washing, ignore the psi, and try to find as close to 2 gpm, which is very rare. 1.4 - 1.6 gpm is common. You can find reviews online for just about every model electric pressure washer and how to optimize it's psi/gpm for car washing by changing the tips with different orifice sizes.

As is, no. You can easily modify it to work for washing cars though. With the right oriface, likely a 3.5, you can get this thing to 1000psi and 1.4gpm. For washing cars the higher the gpm the better. Anything around 2.0gpm is ideal for washing cars. Although some of those units can get pretty expensive and probably overkill for the home consumer.

Everyone's commenting on the gpm blah blah. If you get it for $45 all of that is moot. Hell of a deal!

I am pretty much sure that this is nation-wide, in-store clearance priced. I went to my nearest Lowes, there were 3 on the high shelf without a display or price tag. A friendly Lowes employee helped me scan it and confirmed the $45 price, before asking her to fetch one for me.

It's a fantastic deal no doubt. With simple modifications you can make it even better.
