He who fights with monsters, one of the most awesome I've listened to. The Sandman was ok, but I wasn't a huge fan.

gamelit isn't for everyone, for sure. this particular series draws heavily from video games as a method to have the main character relate to the new world around him. outside of that, this has more overall influence from tabletop RPGs akin to D&D, so if you aren't able to get into things like Critical Role or HarmonQuest, or if you aren't particularly interested in Isekai style anime/manga, or "Ready Player One", this probably isn't going to be a good book for you.

that said, I still recommend Dungeon Crawler Carl if you even remotely allow yourself to get past the "video game-y" elements.
