All the cameras are deep clearance as well. Just ordered a camera, wiring kit, and backup mirror/camera for $30.07 total. Not bad for a complete cheap setup for an older vehicle.

All available items as far as I can tell.

I think a cheap cam would've picked up both of those instances.

I have zero dash cam now. These are for sure better than nothing
Yes, you have to have dash cam. And, yes, something is better than nothing.
But my point is that you want something reliable. It's insurance: you pay for it and hope you will never need it.
You want camera that 1) starts every time you start your car 2) does not corrupt files 3) has accurate and visible time stamp. Plus, you want high-endurance memory card to go with it.
Wiring kit is not a problem: there are 100s of them all over Internet, ranging from $10 to $40.
But camera and memory card are another story: you do not want to be in a situation when you have file but cannot use it.
All of us here are ready to fight over 5 cents difference, but this is one of cases when you want to spend more (well.... much more) and have something good.

The vast majority of dash cams still use micro-USB
It's one of the ways they can keep costs down. It still does the job

Great deal for those who need it.

If you're DIY/tech savvy though you can make all of this in an hour for your exact application.

You can make the power adapter from any wall outlet, cut off the wall plug etc. and a little soldering/crimping/cutting + $1 worth of wiring and fuses etc you're set.

I only mention that to encourage any tech repair savvy folks to look at the photo mentioned of exactly what's in it so you can see if it's up your alley or not.

For many of us the convenience and time is easily worth buying.

Also fwiw you can change the plug to usb micro or whatever you need…I'd do that over an adapter. Fiddling with adapters that regularly break isn't what you want from a device that you plan to rely on like this

Are these a pain to install? I don't mean connecting the wires, I can deal with that... I mean running the wires to the battery somehow...
You run the wires to a fuse. You tap to a fuse that is always on. Takes 5 min to install.

COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME. Trying to buy from this retailer has NEVER been a good experience. Tried buying a number of things listed online earlier this afternoon: in stock, completed transaction, pick-up in 30 minutes. Showed up at store --> Going Out of Business signs everywhere, locked doors, letting three people in at a time, no accommodation for online order pick-up. Avoid having anything to do with this outfit, regardless of how good the deal seems to be. It isn't.

Chrome is now autoclosing tabs that result in "This stie can't be reached" on networks running PiHole. Fun. Thanks, SD.

I use u block origin in FF and it shows the direct link. See example [imgur.com]
