Do not buy any laptop, computer, t.v. or similar from B+H. Even within their 30 day return period, any manufacturing package that has been opened is not eligible for return. I just went through this on a laptop purchased from them. Because the box was opened, it is not eligible for return.
It doesn't matter how unhappy you are with the product. If you open the box you can't return it. My laptop wouldn't hold charge for 2 hours, and had a defect on the screen. Less than 30 days and they refuse a return.
Even if they were willing to process warranty assistance you would have to pay all of the shipping costs and even after waiting for them to inspect, you still are at their mercy hoping that they agree that something is wrong with it, for repair or exchange.
