LOL what sort of stuff are you smoking? It takes years for games to get to even $20 these days even with they're not great.
I'm a patient gamer, and I buy games on a discount. Haven't paid $70 for a single title, but saying $30 is a top tier console game seems super weird and suspect to me. I was paying $60 for top tier console games 23 years ago as a teenager. I think $60 23 years later is more than reasonable lmao.

But getting these epic, 100+hr of content games with state of the art graphics for $30? that's the cheapest hobby in the world.

Took the family to the movies to see sonic 3 the other day, and dropped $100. For 2hrs of fun.

I can buy this game for $30, spend how ever many hours I want with it, and still flip it for 10-15 dollars effectively making my "fun" only cost 15 bucks or so.
Finally, someone that has some sense. Guys the dollar isn't what is used to be. Buy that 5 dollar coffee its going to be okay. And spend money. People know how to save but they don't know when to spend. I get it you have a back log to play through then thats the case money is not the issue right? So don't bring it up like it is. $30 dollars is the right price. You already know if you hate the game so much that youll have buyers remorse. I tried the game and don't mind it but POE 2 is soooo good! And Im also a dude that spends like $90 bucks a month on v bucks for me and my nephew lol. It literally will not break me and saving it will not send another kid to college.

Ppl have become a bunch of cheap skates nowadays, yes some games may not be worth $60, but if it's rather modern I am not expecting it to be $10 either. A lot of folks without jobs or just bc they don't have a great job think their state in their lives is a justification for every game to be at $10, well F off.. I am in IT and I can tell you how much goes into these projects, hundreds of hours, consulting, coding, modeling, rigging, the audio dept, video dept, art dept, etc etc. If you expect Outlaws for $10, then until 2030 if you are lucky, the game is not all that but to expect it for $10 is also a travesty. People have forgotten the meaning of work and the value of money.
This was well said. I think I mentioned it earlier but honestly, what made me by the game was it being included in digital foundries top three best graphics in 2024.

If you're buying a game because of how good it's graphics are waiting until it's $10. Will defeat the purpose because those graphics won't be state-of-the-art anymore.

People put hundreds of millions of dollars into these projects and people think it should be free or five dollars

Fair enough, but we pay what a game is worth and not a preceived value dictated by these companies. If they make a game worth say $70 then we will gladly pay it, but if they make garbage we will either not buy or only at a huge discount. That is why so many companies are struggling, they give us what they want and not what we want,
