In the body of the email:

Rewards expiring soon: $50.00 (5,000 Points)
Expiration date: 04/15/2025

I was looking at their expensive high DPI monitors a couple of days ago, like their 8K one for $4000+ for $4k, etc. Just poking around. Maybe that triggered it.

I'm not a Dell buyer as my last purchase was a couple years ago using my initial Dell Rewards to buy some cheap computer speakers.

I did see a couple of similar Reddit posts over the last month. Not many, so maybe extreme YMMV. But worth an email check just in case.

I received a similar email (4846 points = $48.46). I believe I bought something from them a few months ago. Went to Dell.com and logged in. The points are listed on my "Dell Rewards" part of my account.

Now I need to find something to burn them on, or lose them (mine expire 1/15/25).

What can I get for basically $50?

I bought tax software, H&R Block Deluxe $42 + tax. Deluxe plus State is $50 + tax so that wouldn't be free unless you can get them to price match (Amazon has Deluxe plus State it for $45). Bundle at Newegg for $23 so I didn't get $50 worth of stuff but I needed tax software. I couldn't find anything that I needed for under $50, I've upgraded basically everything I have the last couple of years.

Good choice for you. I've used Freetaxusa the last few years, so the software wouldn't work. Ended up buying a wireless mouse and keyboard. It'll go in a closet and be used eventually.
