Agent:

Hi Thomas, nice to meet you.
I checked your account and you were under our
SAVE10 promotion where you get $10 off for 5 years and you are on our $45 premium plan already.

Thomas:
That is correct. The SAVE15 promo brings it down to $30. I was hoping you could apply that or else l'll just downgrade to the basic plan and then upgrade using that promo. But wanted to just avoid having to do that

Agent:
Upon checking your request that you will step down and ask if we can add the SAVE15 promotion to get $15 off for 25 months, unfortunately upon reading the terms and condition for the SAVE15 promotion, it states that : agents will not be able to apply the SAVE15 promotion if the member is already on the $45 premium plan and request to step down and wanted to add the SAVE15 promotion to their account.

I deeply apologize but we can not add the SAVE15 promotion after you step down and upgrade back to the $45 premium plan. I advise you not to step down because when you step down, you will loose the SAVE10 promotion that were applied to your account

Here is another way to save some extra money: if you have some (older) unlocked phones or or eSIM slots in active phones available you can create and activate new accounts for other people in your household. You'll get a $20 credit per referral in the referring account and the new account gets a $20 discount off the first month. Choose the $25 plan without any other promo codes (since they can't be combined with the referral credit). Once the new account is active turn off autopay and close the account before the first month is over (or just don't pay which suspends service and eventually cancels it). You'll essentially pay $5 for the $20 credit on your permanent account. You can use one referral credit per month so your already discounted $30 plan comes down to $10 as long as you have referral credits banked (you can bank up to 12). I recently did this with my son's account (who recently signed up for the promo $30 plan for 25 months. I also had statement credit offers on 3 Citi cards that were worth $25 each for any purchase from visible. The $5 first month payment for the throw away accounts triggered the credits so I made another $60 along with the 3x$20 referral credits my son received.

I think the coupon still works for new customers (they just opened it up for existing customers too), so you should be able to just sign up for V+ @ $30.

I chatted with someone at Visible and they say the followings:

Because this promotion is only applicable for a member who purchase Visible base plan and we see here that your account is not eligible for this promotion, but I need to ask assistance to our advance support team to make sure that I provided a correct information.

How other are getting the promo being applied? we have one line which is $35+ plan already. Need to save $5 if we can.

Who exactly owned visible before Verizon? I thought it was started and always their company.
Visible was always a Verizon company.
It operates as a cheap MVNO that didn't use any Verizon branding at first because it was primarily used to beta test cloud switching technology. Visible has since converted to mainline switching and kept the pricing the same because I suppose they feel they have enough capacity.
Their customer service was significantly worse in the beginning.

New users can sign up with code: SWITCH25 for V+ at $30/mo for 25 months.

Existing users can switch from the base plan to V+ with code: SAVE15 for $30/mo for 25 months

(Not confirmed) Existing users on V+ plan can switch to base plan, wait for it to officially switch over at the end of their billing cycle, and switch back over to V+ plan with code: SAVE15. They'll have to put up with having the base plan for a month.

I just upgraded my account. The difference is significant. Can't believe it.
Dude you must be getting paid from visible trying to shake all of the 25 dollar unlimited people from being grandfathered in. Don't listen to this bot.

I chatted and upgrading from basic to +. I can't really tell the difference in speed imo. You do get better quality on YouTube at 720p. Idk how these other dudes are saying it's "significant." lol

You must have not traveled into an area where you are deprioritized. I have + and my wife has regular and we were just in Honolulu in an Uber looking stuff up on our phones and hers was unusable but mine went normal internet net speed. Agreed if you aren't in an area that is deprioritizing you there is not a lot of perceived difference. + also gets you Apple Watch cellular service which is nice.

Ugh, chatted with a rep who said my current deal for $35/mo for 5 years is better than this one given the total savings over the time period. I commented that I'm spending $60/yr more in the short term but there was nothing they could do directly and I'm worried about risking the $35 price I'm getting now to downgrade and upgrade with the code and not having it get applied...

Anyone know if this works when switching from an old Visible+ plan to the new plan? I'm on the old plan at $45, plus $5 for smartwatch, with a $10 discount from an old promo.
For the record - this did work for me, though I had to chat with them. It accepted the "SAVE15" code during checkout, but after I hit submit it still showed my monthly price as $45. I chatted to explain, and without any fuss they fixed it, and now it shows my next month's cost as $30.

They handled your case beautifully!
I also tried. It warned me before I clicked to confirm a plan change that I would lose my current promo and that I did. I was able to put in the code and it shows that it was successfully applied and everything shows the proper amount to be charged ($45-$15 = $30/mo) for 25 months. However, when you click to finalize the order, it didn't work and shows the Visible+ plan at $45 with no discounts at all. Can't even apply the promo code to the account any other way. It won't take it.
Chat told me the requirements is that you have to be upgrading from the base plan for the promo code to work, so the workaround is to switch to the base plan, wait until the end of your billing cycle for the plan to officially switch over, and then submit a plan change as instructed by OP and it should work. I couldn't change my plan again on the web but was able to do it on the app and successfully downgraded to the base plan. My cycle ends on the 16th so I've set a reminder to upgrade to Visible+ with promo code. I have Visible+ until then. I assume I would have the base plan for a month until it will turn over after the billing cycle comes around on Feb. 16 2025. I'll follow up later on.
The person I'm talking to refuses to even escalate -.- said it's not possible to escalate

Edit: told them "guess we're just stuck in this chat then" and magically they were able to.

I'm on visible basic promotion at $15 per month and the service is satisfactory.
Is there any real reason to pay double to upgrade? Faster speeds seem irrelevant on a phone since 25 Mbps or so is more than enough for anything I would want to do on a phone. I know hotspot gets upgraded to 10 Mbps as opposed to 5mbps but even that seems marginal since 10 Mbps isn't all that fast to begin with.
I'm genuinely asking not being sarcastic. Is it really a worthwhile upgrade? Can someone comment please. Thanks

Total wirelesss is a total mess. Your better off with US Mobile, which has service with all 3 big boy carriers.
