I had Surfshark. When I bought the VPN, Surfshark was ran out of the British Virgin Islands, which is very VPN user friendly, but they moved to the Netherlands, which is not the greatest place for privacy. After all, what is a VPN good for if not privacy? The problems with the Surfshark is when they added their Anti-Virus to the program software. They seem to busy working on other ways to add different products to their VPN and gave up on making the VPN component up to date (working properly). If you buy just the VPN service, you get the AV component also installed on your system and no way to remove it. It runs in the back ground even though it is doing nothing for you, after all, you did not buy it. It more like you are the beta tester for their AV software, as they gather data from your computer about how the software is working on your system. This may have changed by now but they gave you no way to not install the AV software. The AV software is not really any good if you buy it because it only works when data is going through the VPN and is not system wide AV. This was a few years ago now, so hopefully things have changed with Surfshark.

The link shows 80% off for me i.e $56.99 per 2 year. On surfshark's website I see USD 55.72 for the first 28 months, ie. 87% off.

The redemption process from StackSocial to Surfshark was confusing. The Surfshark page already had their own coupon code applied when you clicked on StackSocial's redemption link. You need to dismiss a green "subrenew" button and enter the license code you got from StackSocial. I didn't know that and picked "Google Pay" as the payment method to see how it worked, and it charged me $72.36 rightaway. I had to chat with an agent to get a refund.

Repped for saving me the headache. The emailed redemption instructions from Stack Social were very misleading. worship

Just spent over an hour trying to redeem it or find where to put the code on the surfshark site on my iPhone browser. Apparently you need to use a computer with the desktop site like in the instructional video from stacksocial. Super annoying when mobile sites aren't as useful.
EDIT: Yes, had it up and running in minutes after switching to my computer 🤦🏼 ♂️
