This literally is new..... Came out like 2 months ago.
Stop supporting them. Get a 9070 or rx7900. No difference on gaming
This thing is a beast. Worth buying for anyone doing a new AM5 build.

Entry level mobos are going to run you like $130-150 and will have fewer features and typically be lower build quality. At just a slightly higher price point, check out the ASRock B650E Steel Legend ($200), MSI B650 MAG Tomahawk ($200), ASRock B650M Pro RS ($200), or MSI PRO X870-P Wifi ($210). They're all gonna have slightly different features, and some of those have lane sharing, but unless you're going to be rocking a 5090 GPU there won't be any discernible performance dip if your GPU is running on 8x instead of 16x. Good luck!

Would this be a decent cpu for an ITX build? Thinking of pairing it with a 5070.

Yes. This. "Together, we can make a difference." As long as people keep paying perpetually ridiculous prices for nerfed GPUs, nVidia will continue to be the only ones really "winning the game."
People aren't abandoning Nvidia. They will whine and cry about prices, but still end up with their gpu.

This is so worth it, it's a good price.
It's not really. And people don't seem to realize it. These 3d chips only beat everything when you game in 1080p paying $490 and then minimum $700 on two components in a build… just to game at 1080p is ridiculous and people keep trying the ignore this part. When these YouTubers test they're testing at 1080p. Because at 4k the cpu doesn't make that big a difference. You're better off spending tops $300 and putting every extra penny to your gpu. Or screen/monitor.

Which if you have anything below an 80 series it doesn't matter anyway.

I'm in the market for an all around AM5 processor... would the 9700X be the best value per dollar for a semi-gaming build?
