This one seems to have better reviews than the other Costco Levoit humidifier, quiet, easy to clean, bigger tank etc..

Winix recently deregistered products in their customer's accounts and said it was because of "inactivity". The truth is that they f'ed up and tried to blame it on their customers. I was unable to reregister any of my products after they locked me out, which killed all of my automations I had configured in Home Assistant.

FYI.

Ugh, instructions mention having to clean the ultrasonic membrane. Not a fan of cleaning filters or these membrane things weekly.

I have 3 of the Vornado wicking filter ones. Each needs about $50 in filters each winter as they scale up and stop working. I think I would rather wipe the membrane than need to clean tanks AND buy filters.

Reverse osmosis or distilled water will stop the scale and white coating on surfaces. I realize that can be a hassle to deal with as well.

Oh, the same thing happened to me. I've not tried to register them again.

So I just retried today at it worked. Update your app, then give it a shot. I had no issues.

I gave Winix an ear and eye full when this happened. At least they stepped up and fixed it (like they had a choice..but still). Give it a shot.
