What is the GPS version? Do you mean the Bluetooth version without lte?
Does epp/edu drop price further?

Yes, GPS = Bluetooth (non cell) version. For some reason these are frequently referred to as the GPS version for some unknown reason, and I just want to sound like one of the cool kids.

I did recently jump through hoops to get my wife set up with the educator discount (id.me). The pricing initailly seemed better (188 before trade-in) but would not allow for a GW4C trade in. Even selecting a GW4 for tradein of 150, the price inexplicably jumped back up to 118 after trade in. I closed all my browser tabs in anger, re-centered myself, and eventually pulled the trigger using the discount link the OP posted.

Now the question is, can I score a well worn GW4C for cheap to trade in? Or do I send in the one I'm wearing right now?

Thanks for the update.
But as far as the GPS thing go, I am well versed in smartwatches and I have never heard of GPS version referring to the Bluetooth version ever. It's either Bluetooth version (or non lte) or lte version. GPS is not a method of communication between the watch or phone and the internet. Wherever you got that from is incredibly wrong and I wouldn't propagate that. Definitely not a cool kid thing, just a misinformed kid.

Not to be that guy, but there are spec names for this that you are not using.

....there are 2 versions. 4G LTE and NOT 4G LTE. 4G LTE means that the watch has the ability to use cellular networks when you leave your phone behind. Without that version, you have to have your phone with you to access cellular networks' data.

It's all over ebay from the usuall resellers. GPS or Cellular. I suspect they mean "GPS ONLY" Regardless, its stupid.

I fully agree with you. Both models have GPS, and it is in no way a communications protocol. If it makes you feel any better, Ill edit my original post to read bluetooth.

Yeah, I get that. I was only interested in the non-LTE (non cellular) versions. From what I understand, they hobbled the watch so that it could not send messages in order to force a cell contract. But this is just hearsay, as I've not verified that myself. And for that matter, perhapsy the enterprising young chaps at XDA have a workaround like they do for SHM.

Anyway, I updated my post in an attempt to calm the angry mobs here. My usage of "bluetooth" "GPS only" "non-LTE" and "non-cellular" were used synonymously - even if erroneously.

Attached, without including specific information so I dont get called a shill next. There were other listings which had a pull down box with options for GPS or Cell or something of that nature. Ill post that if and when I come across it again.

I've enjoyed this little back and forth at first when it was all fun and games. Ive edited my post for clarity. You want an apology now? Here you go. Sorry for using incorrect nomenclature. I'm sure at this point any confusion has been cleared up. Its not like I'm spending my days disseminating false information. And now youre making demands that I "prove it"?

If that was not your intent, then please accept my heartfelt apologies. Othwise, kindly piss off.

Just chiming in to say I was just clarifying (and apologize if you were offended) because I think it is only getting harder to keep it straight. I know technology very well and would consider myself close to an expert.

If it were a car, I'd be lost. I appreciate when mechanics take the time to explain to me.

Thank for you for contributing!!!!

I pinged customer support and was able to trade in 5 pro for 250 off, LTE 47 came down to $48 +tax. Got the 5 pro recently from Best Buy for 30$ so eventually $80 for Galaxy 6 is not bad

I wish Samsung watches had full iOS compatibility. They look much nicer than Apple's...

Not possible, they give you a shipping label once you pick up your watch.

Yesterday, I purchased a watch6 Classic 47 mm LTE for less than $90.

I had the watch in my cart for several days.
When I checked on it yesterday, this deal was available.
I got the watch for less than $90 with the watch4 classic trade-in plus the first responder discount.

It must have been a one day sale.
