This doesn't beat Fastener's $169 Saturday flash deal from a couple weeks ago but its a fairly uncommon sale for a newer model.

Fasteners also generally doesn't charge tax outside CA.

This thing is a beast even for a "quiet" driver. Kinda wish I had held out for it, but I have the M12 Surge already and went to the 860 for my big impact.

I'm in the same boat as you. I have the M12 Surge for everyday stuff plus the M18 FUEL gen4 for the big stuff (and the DCF850 before that). I'm now on the fence as to get the DCF870 or hold out for the next generation M12 SURGE.

Fasteners had the DCF870 at $149 before but they had very limited stock and sold out. I figure they will go back to that price in a Saturday Flash sale (or maybe $159 now they reactivated the NEWCUSTOMER10 coupon). I think that may be my breaking point.

I have it and had the 850. The 860 is built very sturdily and is a solid upgrade over the 845. Most DIYers will probably like the smaller and more maneuverable 850.

I Frankensteined my 850 into a compact 3/8 impact wrench instead of getting a DCF923

I haven't pushed it hard but its smaller than the 887 it replaced and to me feels easier on the hand as far as vibration/kick/whatever and I like the new style light setup a lot.

How do you like the 850 as a ⅜"??

I swapped mine but now speed 2&3 seem to be only SLIGHTLY different and even seems like there are some hiccups in speed 3 when impacting on a tight fastener.
I know it's actually in the speeds it says it's in and when on a small loads like wood screws (or on nothing) I can easily tell the speed difference.
