Self emptying or bust!
2100 pa suction power vs 5500 pa suction power
"I will sell whatever I make money from" company vs a Robot vacuum company
I've been using roborock q5 pro since October. Originally bought from their ebay store as a refurb unit with 2 yr warranty, but it looked brand new and does an amazing job.

Pros:

Great suction (5500 pa) for both carpets and hard floors.
Duo rollers keep hair tangling to absolute minimum.
Removable dustbin is large enough and convenient to empty (no auto empty).
LiDAR mapping is amazing. Multiple floor maps can be saved. It navigates obstacles (e.g. fuirniture, etc) well.
Good battery capacity: a 45 minute cleaning job consumes 16% battery
App is easy to use. No-go zones and virtual walls are easy to add. Can be connected to google assistant or alexa, but I haven't tried connecting yet.

Cons:

Limited mopping function. Drags a wet pad across the house. Does not height adjust based on floor. So I don't use mopping on this unit.
No auto empty for those wanting this feature.

Been this price for over 10 days, figured it was the normal routine sale price. I have been trying to decide if I want this one, with the empty bin, or the 8 model. Seems they are somewhat similar.

I was looking at robot vacs around Black Friday and I believe this is the one with the best bang for your buck. Waiting for more comments to confirm.

I'm actually fine with not having a self emptying dock. I clean out the bin and filter every few days to keep things clean. I bought 2 of these and they work great.

I bought this over Black Friday and it kicks butt ! I have a iRobot m6 wet mopping robot and I have to say this thing is 10x times superior as a home cleaning bot. Granted one its easy to see that this might not be a one to one comparison but the point made is simple. It an awesome little robot ! Vacuum is plenty powerful enough and the dust bin is large enough for 3 or 4 sessions. I haven't used the mopping function and honestly I might not ever. The vacuum alone is awesome. I'd buy again.

I have a wyze robot vacuum, and it works dang well. Right now that wise robot is on sale for 100 bucks. I'm thinking about getting one for my dad, based on my experience I'm thinking using the mopping feature would be rare. Is it really worth the extra 40 bucks for this one that probably performs nearly the same as the wyze vacuum

I don't use the mop function as it just drag the rag across the floor. However, the vacuum is perfect with the strong suction, great navigation, and big bins. Just empty it weekly. Roborock as a brand is much better than Wyze.
