"I will sell whatever I make money from" company vs a Robot vacuum company
Pros:
Great suction (5500 pa) for both carpets and hard floors.
Duo rollers keep hair tangling to absolute minimum.
Removable dustbin is large enough and convenient to empty (no auto empty).
LiDAR mapping is amazing. Multiple floor maps can be saved. It navigates obstacles (e.g. fuirniture, etc) well.
Good battery capacity: a 45 minute cleaning job consumes 16% battery
App is easy to use. No-go zones and virtual walls are easy to add. Can be connected to google assistant or alexa, but I haven't tried connecting yet.
Cons:
Limited mopping function. Drags a wet pad across the house. Does not height adjust based on floor. So I don't use mopping on this unit.
No auto empty for those wanting this feature.

"I will sell whatever I make money from" company vs a Robot vacuum company
I have a 4?5? year old Roborock that never has issues. I have a Wyze vac that never has issues. I have two iHome autovac walmart cheapos that never have issues. I have a Ubiquiti home network that's flawless, no neighbors or channel congestion, no bluetooth devices or microwaves or alien transmissions causing interference.
The Q5 pro is the closest of all of these vacuums to an access point with dedicated 2.4ghz ssid, and yet... it just can't connect most of the time. It took me FOREVER to divide and name my rooms and set up no-go zones, because it'd just lose connectivity. I have to 'enter' the vacuum on the app 2-3x for the map to load. Then another few times for the map to load AND for me to be able to initiate cleaning.
One other dude reported the problem on reddit but otherwise I think the roborock sub censors problems... so, no help. Sucks. It's an excellent vacuum otherwise, and it's running right now doing its job (after many tries to get it started). I don't love having to remove the filter to dump the dust bin, only vac I have that requires that... but the filter mysteriously gets less plugged up than my other vacs. Good bargain if you don't have connectivity issues with it.
