I actually bought them a week ago at this price. They're extremely light compared to my Turtle beach stealth 600 gen 2s. Way more comfortable and loved the sound quality. Haven't done the head mapping feature yet in app. Only has one volume wheel with a button that switches between game and chat. After about 20 minutes my ears or head would hurt from the turtle beaches but didn't experience this with these. And they auto adjust to your head as well. No more having to find the sweet spot on fit. They just fit.

I have the 800's and they're the best headphones I've had. I like them much better than SteelSeries and TurtleBeach. I don't game as much anymore but I'm a big fan of the RIG headphones and would buy these in a heartbeat if I was in the market.

I have these. They're pretty comfortable. I've used Wireless RIG headsets (on XBoxes) since they were owned by Plantronics. They are extremely comfortable. I even sleep in them. My main complaint with all of them is their connection to the Xbox (One, One X, and Series X) kinda sucks. They use a USB dongle and at times it loses connection. Even the new 900s lose connection. My second gripe is the "lift-to-mute" mic. The more you use it, the more loose it becomes and then there's constant static. After a while they'll need to be replaced. They should have a mute button instead. Lastly, the volume button "free scrolls". It scrolls infinitely, instead of having a beginning and end. The only way you can tell you're at the max volume is an audible tone. I would prefer the wheel stop scrolling instead.

Have not tried these but I have found every other RIG headset to be heavier than comparable alternatives. Does anyone have any insight into these?

Purchased. Have some Razer headsets that are great, but the range is poor.. These are supposed to have great range among other features.

Couldn't disagree more. The best headset I owned until they died was the Rig 800. Ridiculously light, and I could wear them all day without any discomfort. My friend liked mine so much he went and got a set of his own.

I bought the "plantonics rig 800" a long time ago, which looks identical to this minus the base and at some point looks like they sold it or wanted to distance themselves from plant tonics… worked amazingly well for about 2 years then the mic started getting staticy, then Failed completely.

Not saying I expected it to last forever, just disappointed it failed at the price I paid: great audio from it though

As others have mentioned, light and comfortable, but the mic design is trash with an inherent flaw. The wire eventually gets stressed, you can fix DIY by soldering in a new wire, but this design should have been revised since it's been around awhile.

have the 800lx and can confirm the mic design goes to shite after a bit, the volume knob went the fastest though and is barely useable but is fine once it can track to a good spot... that and the lack of in-ear monitering even though it was advertised at the time were my only real complaints.

Why do headphones say Atmos and 5.1 without actual speakers? This is simulated Atmos and 5.1, with one driver in each ear.
Get a true 5.1 headset.
lol I have a true 7.1 headset and the virtual Atmos is better and more accurate. If you want to know where someone/something is in a video game using positional audio, then virtual Atmos is where it's at. Plus the sound signature is very nice (imo). BTW the 5.1 in this post is referring to the Bluetooth version, not how many virtual surrounds. It is more like 7.1.4 using DA.

FYI for everyone, Atmos for headphones works for basically any headset, whether wired or wireless, does not matter, this headset just comes with an activation code, nothing special or "built in" or whatever.

I have been in the market for an Xbox headset for awhile. Is there anything better than this? I want a nice set.
