Why are you saying this? It's the opposite, they are selling overstocked motherboards and memory by bundling them with a highly sought after CPU
The 299 bundle is great place to start a new build. A 4060/7700 XT (or even a 4070) would be a great pairing for a pretty sick sub-1000 PC
What?? They are doing this because the 9800x3d is selling like hotcakes and they can get rid of crappy MOBOs and RAM kits by bundling it to customers who dont know what they're buying

This is an awful deal.

If you can get the 9800x3d for 480$ then a b850m-x WiFi for 120 and a kit of 2x16 Hynix a die for 80 then u end up at a total cost of 680 with better memory.

Lol they're worried they may have overstocked their 9800x3d..
Actually, they sold out of their stock of +25 of these CPUs in the span of a week, so it's good they've restocked for the best gaming CPU on the market right now.

Interesting how the Gigabyte B650 boards have a 5 year warranty vs. the B850 only 3 years…

We still have 25+ in stock. Not sure when they re-stocked though. Guess we'll see starting today. Hopefully I'm right lol because then that means it'll go lower in price. Wishful thinking though

I bought the 7700x bundle late in 2023. It's slow to boot up, but it's been rock-solid. I think they have a different motherboard now. This is the one that came with the bundle then: https://www.microcenter.com/produ...otherboard.

Not sure if any of these bundles are worth it. You're getting CL36 memory when you should be getting CL30. You're also getting older chipsets when the B850 and X870 ones are out. You can get 2x16gb 6000 cl30 for 80ish from Teamgroup.

You don't need a 9800x3d if you have a 7800x3d wth. I upgraded from an i7-6700k.

You sure? I bought Corsair Vengeance non-rgb 2x32 6000 cl30 and it's hynix.

Anyone know if these would work well with the new 50 series founders editions? Micro center is going to sell them and I was hoping to build off a 5080 but have never done so before.

dang shame my local MC doesn't have anything in the way of Asrock AMD boards. Was wanting to stick w/ them since they've treated me right the past few years. Had to order an 870 steel legend off Newegg & got hit by UPS package delays due to weather. shakes fist

Trying to decide whether to get the 9800X3D bundle or not? The 7800X3D seems expensive despite being $100 cheaper than the base 9800X3D bundle. Coming from a Intel 7700 laptop.

Picked up the 9700x bundle a couple months ago. The Gskill RAM doesn't play nice with that Gigabyte mobo when using the EXPO profile. Wasn't a big deal to me. It works fine on the default profile.

Horrible motherboards and even the memories are awful. I would buy them separately and get the ones you want. I got the GIGABYTE X870 AORUS Elite WIFI7 ICE for $170 when it was on sale on Amazon. If you are patient, it'll come around.
