If you think that ice cream isn't ice cream is weird, know that most fudgescicles don't have cocoa anymore. Husband loves them in warmer weather, at the store I looked at the ingredients and had to search for one that had cocoa as an ingredient.

I was making DH smoothies b/c I have a hard time finding fresh organic blueberries recently. (presume tariff related). I can get a big bag of frozen much cheaper(Costco) so was making DH smoothies with frozen banana & oranges from my tree. It was a big like soft serve ice cream and often his dessert. He just read something that indicates the flavanoids in berries are neutralized by bananas (!)
Which is why the doc told him to have blueberries.
So back to the drawing board - it looks like I can combine oranges with either of them, so a more gritty, liquidly blueberry smoothie or orange/banana "sorbet" for his dessert & still have to find a way to incorporate blueberries into his diet at another time of day.

I'm not a fan of bananas so it's not a dessert that appeals to me.

I don't know about Dreyer's specifically, but it was quite a long time ago I noticed "frozen dairy dessert" replacing "ice cream." I read labels and came to the same conclusion as Schnauzermomma that it just had to do with the fat content. Maybe what was called "ice milk" when I was a little kid. That's OK with me, so I stopped paying much attention. If you liked Dreyers Light, maybe you'd like Dreyer's Slow Churned. Comes in a beige carton, and I think it's "lighter" than the dark brown cartons. I try to just be happy with whatever I can get cheap, so I'm not very brand-loyal and actually try not to compare critically, but my sister is a bit of a "light" connoisseur, and she particularly liked it. Thought it had a nicer texture than most. She shared that opinion over a decade ago, though, so I'm not sure nothing has changed. I eat it and find it acceptable.

I think maybe what happened to gardening soil is municipal composting. It's pretty hard to figure out for sure whether any of Seattle's ends up in bags sold at Home Depot or Lowe's, but I do remember, back when it was a new idea, hearing that Seattle was actually making money on it. Even if Seattle's "yard waste" doesn't end up there, maybe other cities' does. I saw this old reddit thread that seems relevant:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Seattle/...ompost_go/
The Slow Churned is indeed light, and what I meant. Can't find it anymore. I used to like the coffee flavor but that slowly disappeared from local stores, then we got the double brownie something. Now I can't find ANY, which is why I tried the regular coffee flavor,
I remember ice milk as a kid, it was cheaper so my dad always bought it.

I got Sunnyside farms store brand yesterday, and the only option that wasn't full fat was sherbert. Dreyers has some low carb or sugar free in one or 2 flavors.

In the reviews of bag soil, I remember a reply from the manufacturer saying that maybe a screen has broken & that is why glass, et al, got through. That would seem to indicate it comes from a source that includes trash.

Here's a recipe for fudge pops that sounds easy.

Found some Dreyers slow churned/light at Smart & Final - looks like a packaging change from tan to blue is happening and somewhat oddly, IT says "ice cream" on the label.

Well, that shoots the milk fat theory. But it does add support for it not necessarily indicating a change to what's INSIDE the package. Maybe it has to do with multinational corporate ownership. I bet the change back to "ice cream" is because people interpreted "frozen dessert" as a negative change to the product. I bought a tan carton at a Seattle Safeway just the night before last, but did notice the inventory seemed low. Last night, I was at a Kroger affiliate, and their Dreyer's supply looked normal. Didn't see any coffee, but they had your Double Fudge Brownie and Mint Chocolate Chip, which is my Dreyer's go-to. I haven't seen any blue cartons here. Maybe the transition to blue is what caused the disruption in supply at your stores? I wonder if we should be watching for clearance at the stores that still have beige. I got out my tan carton to see what it said. It says "ice cream." Also specifies that it's made with milk and cream from cows, and warns that the little pieces in it may be a choking hazard for children under 4.

I am very guilty of filling the bottom of pots with yard waste (grass clippings) and just turning them over every year or so. The grass clippings break down into new dirt over time and dirt seems to occupy less volume. Yes, I know, I'm cheap.
For larger pots I use Styrofoam in the bottom. Just make sure it isnt compostable styrofoam. Cuts soil use and weight.

I surrounded the roots with potting soil and used some aloe vera to help them transition. I can't find B1 that I used to use for transplant shock, but the aloe vera seems to work even better. Sometimes scarcity forces us to change and once in a while, it's a change for the better.
Wait, whats this about aloe helping with transplant shock? I need to look into that...

I was wrong about pots lol. I've had a very positive experience taking gummies. I like the 100mg THC ones. No issues with my heart. They help me to relax and enjoy things I like to do such as listening to music. The Allman Brothers never sounded so good.

I didn't bookmark the site I got my info, but they put the entire leaf in a blender and pour it around the roots. They said it's effectiveness is pretty short - like 20 minutes.
Other sources say that the yellow sap (aloe vera latex) is bad for your skin, toxic to pets and not good for what you are transplanting. So just the gel is the safest bit. My AV leaves aren't huge, so getting gel out isn't real easy. I take directions/recipes as mere suggestions, so I decided open the leaf, rub it against the roots of the new plant and may put the biggest part of AV leaf under it in its new home. It seems to be working.

A search turned up mostly posts on how to grow AV, not the transplanting, even when I searched "Transplanting vegetables use ground aloe vera gel", but I did get this return:

Glad to hear it. I have a cardiologist in the family and we have had discussions about this. He will recommend it for some patients.

Kevin Smiths cardiologist gives having smoked pot credit for Smith surviving his Widow maker.

I tend to think edibles are far safer than inhaling anything, even though there are differences in how it works. But I just wont screw with my lungs at all.

It's weird that sometimes it hits me really hard and other times I don't feel anything. There's no way to predict it. The other weird thing is that I'll almost get to sleep and then it will jolt me back awake. The gummies are better than anything else I've taken for pain and relaxation but it's hard for me to do things like be on the computer when I take the gummies.

A question for any of you that shop at Walmart. We are taking a trip via plane. After we pick up the rental car, I would like to stop at Walmart to pick up some things. I was thinking about placing an order ahead of time. Can I pick that up in store? Im hesitant to do the car pickup because you need a timeslot of an hour and flying plus car rental pickup makes me think I may not be able to nail my order pickup time that precisely. But, I would like to place the order the day before if not sooner just to get one "last minute" task off the docket. Is car pickup my only option?

Or, is it just a bad idea in general to place an order because of stock/ substitution issues and I will likely end up going inside to grab something anyway. I was hoping to do this to save time but if it wont maybe I should scrap the idea.

I binge watched The Queen's Gambit last week and really enjoyed it. It's one of the best things that I've seen on Netflix. It's been recommended to me in the past but a 10 part series about chess didn't interest me that much. I was wrong. You don't have to know anything about chess (like me) to enjoy this show. With every show you're going to find a few things wrong but I'll give it 5 stars.

I also watched One Dollar on Paramount Plus. It's a 10 part series with a bunch of offbeat characters. I really enjoyed it. I'm giving it 5 stars, too.

I'm currently watching Hell on Wheels. It's about building a railroad acroos the country right after the Civil War. It's extremely violent but if you like Taylor Sheridan westerns you're going to love this. The only thing that keeps me from giving this 5 stars is the acting of Common. It got so bad that I had to stop watching his scenes. The show is still well worth your time and maybe Common won't annoy you as much as he annoys me. I'm binge watching and that could be the problem. He might not be as bad in small doses.

I watched this a while ago and yes, it was very good. Maybe I'll watch it again.
